Higger Tor - Peak District Walk
Monday 5th February 2007
Another beautiful day dawned and the hills beckoned once again. As my start was going to be delayed by commitments at home I opted for a shorter walk to Higger Tor. Although it was certainly cold today once I was moving I hardly noticed it. With much of the ground still frozen the going was much easier across the moors than it might otherwise have been. Like the others who were out on Higger Tor today I enjoyed a longer lunch than usual, sat in the sun, on the rocks, enjoying the views.

From Mother Cap it is a short walk to Over Owler Tor.
Looking through the rocks on Over Owler Tor to Win Hill.
Looking across Hathersage to the Mam Tor Ridge. It's a shame about the cement works spoiling the view, but I guess if I worked there I wouldn't have the same opinion.
